Chopin, Schumann & Mussorgsky Recital for the Hear! Here! Society

I am thankful for the wonderful music lovers in the Hear! Here! Society for inviting me to perform a recital at the Yarmouth County Museum for their enthusiastic, supportive audience. It was an exciting way to celebrate my birthday. I performed Chopin’s 24 Preludes, Schumann’s Papillons, and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Hello Yarmouth!
In one week, I will be moving to Yarmouth!

I will be opening my studio in July 2018 at 43 Porter Street in the middle of town. The studio features a Baldwin grand piano (in picture below) and an electric Roland piano RD700-GX. I also offer in home lessons with an additional fee.

I have 19 years of experience playing piano, and over 7 years of teaching experience, which included teaching beginners from age 3-30+ as well as helping more advanced students to complete their RCM exams successfully- so bring your whole family! I also offer theory classes from beginners to advanced levels. Check out my bio and listen page to learn more about me. My lessons page includes more information about my studio but feel free to send me a message if you have more questions at: saranikolicpianist@gmail.com.

I am offering a special reduced rate for ALL new students who register in July. Hopefully I will be able to arrange a solo recital when I arrive so I can perform and meet as many people as possible!

Another inspiring recording session with Veronica Galicia Lopez, Master’s student in the McGill sound recording program, in the beautiful Pollack Hall. This time it was to record my solo recital repertoire, which included Bach, Schubert, Debussy and Prokofiev.
The part that made it most fun was that it started at 12am and ended at 6am.
Playing these pieces in the middle of the night was the ultimate test!

Recording at Pollack Hall, Montreal
My latest project was recording some arrangements of beautiful songs by Strauss and Wagner with the talented Geraldina Mendez (soprano) and Claude Gélineau (violin) at Pollack Hall. It is really fun to work with two wonderful musicians as a contrast to the solo repertoire I am working on for my upcoming final Master’s recital.
